Critique Epithetical Books On Mystic Lake
Another enjoyable novel by Kristin Hannah. On Mystic Lake is an honest and reflective account of what can happen to a person when they get lost within their own lives.Annie, the main character, was such a lovely woman and I enjoyed watching her evolve into a stronger person who, by the end of the novel, had a much truer sense of her own self-worth. I particularly appreciated the way Kristin mirrored Annies new life with her old life, pitting the differences between Nick and Blake as a defining

A story about Annie who is fast approaching forty. She has spent the last 20 years of her life living for her husband and her daughter. She is the sort of person who always puts other people first. It comes as a shock to her when her husband announces he is in love with another woman. This takes place on the same day she has waved goodbye to her 17 year old daughter as she embarks on a trip to England.Annie is devastated. She returns to her home town of Mystic and sets about re-discovering the

another amazing book by kristin hannah! i was able to truly connect with annie and see some of myself in her. authors that can do that for me really earn my respect. highly recommend this one!

Wow I really enjoyed this book. This is the third one I have read by this author, and loved them all. I found this one to be so engaging and it was also very easy to get into. I found my heart to be ripped out, put back, and then ripped out again. It was so easy to get lost between the pages in this one. I found the story to be so real and genuine. I loved the characters, the plot, the location, everything was written so beautifully which is I why I love Kristin Hannah's writing. Annie is my

There are a lot of women who will relate to this novel and love it. I actually thought of many women in my own life as I was reading it--women who've unexpectedly found themselves needing to redefine/define themselves because of a triggering life event. However, this novel is definitely more in the Eat, Pray, Love category than in the caliber of Hannah's later novels (The Great Alone, Winter Garden, and The Nightingale). Random aside and personal bias: Hannah repeatedly paints a picture of

Well I decided to pick this up after reading Firefly Lane. I enjoyed On Mystic Lake but not as much as Firefly Lane. This story is about a woman named Annie who has lived her life as a giver, a supporter, a caretaker basically. She has always given fully and never quite received the same response from her Husband, Blake. He works too much (Lawyer) and ends up cheating on Annie and asks for a divorce right after their daughter goes to London. Shock shelled over this news Annie tries to plead with
