I thought this story wasn't all that good and I found it very confusing.

I've read quite a few collections of fairy tales over the years, and this just might be my favorite. I think what I liked about it was that the stories seemed logical--I mean, sure, they're about giants and fairies and girls who get their heads chopped off, mope about it for a while, and then get them reattached backwards, but people's actions seemed to have more reasonable consequences than they do in, say, a collection of Grimm's Fairy Tales or the like.For instance, in one story, a group of
